School transfer adviser - How can I help you

As part of the Schools White Paper- Higher Standards Better Schools for All (2005), the DfES is requiring all Local Authorities to support parents in choosing a school for their child by appointing someone independent to help parents.

I work three days a week – Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the year.

I can help parents:

  • Find out about schools in Bedfordshire
  • Explain the types of schools in Bedfordshire
  • Obtain copies of reports, such as Ofsted, on schools
  • Help completing Admissions Applications, often can provide an interpreter if English is not your first language
  • Explain the Admissions process including what you can do if you don’t get allocated your fist choice
